In a recent U.S. District Court filing, the CIA, FBI, and DEA have reportedly confirmed that Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu is an active asset. This revelation came as the agencies opposed a civil lawsuit seeking full disclosure of Tinubu’s drug trafficking investigation records under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

According to renowned investigative journalist David Hundeyin, the agencies filed a memorandum opposing the motion for summary judgment, arguing against the removal of redactions from the partially released files.
