SAGLEV Electric Cars, based in Ikorodu, Nigeria, is a pioneering automotive assembly plant in Sub-Saharan Africa specializing in electric vehicle production. Founded by Sam Faleye, the CEO of SAGLEV INC and an innovator in the electric vehicle sector, the company aims to promote the shift from fossil fuel vehicles to zero-emission alternatives, particularly in emerging markets.
Last year, Faleye announced the launch of their advanced electric vehicle assembly plant in Imota, Ikorodu, Lagos, emphasizing the potential for local job creation and technological advancement. He highlighted that a fully charged SAGLEV electric vehicle can travel up to 300 kilometers on a single charge, which is comparable to making the journey from Oshodi to Ajah ten times.

Faleye also noted that the vehicles require minimal charging frequency, typically just once or twice a week. A complete charge can be achieved in about four hours using a level two charger, making it a convenient option for daily commuters and contributing to a more sustainable future.
