As part of its dedication to fostering the growth and sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) across Africa, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc will host the last edition of its quarterly business series for the year. This highly anticipated event, titled "Profit with Purpose, Business Continuity," is set for Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 12 PM (WAT) at the Tony Elumelu Amphitheatre, UBA House, Marina, Lagos.

The UBA Business Series, a staple in the bank's community engagement efforts, features a lineup of seminars and workshops designed to provide MSMEs with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive. These sessions are known for bringing together top business minds who offer invaluable insights into best practices and strategic thinking in challenging economic climates.

Shamsideen Fashola, UBA's Group Head of Retail and Digital Banking, emphasized the importance of this series for small business owners. "Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and we are committed to their success. This event provides a platform for entrepreneurs to gain critical knowledge on personal finance, wealth management, and navigating economic challenges."

The upcoming edition promises to be enriching, featuring stories of resilience and adaptation from businesses that have weathered political and economic shifts. Among the notable speakers is Bolanle Austen-Peters, an acclaimed lawyer, and filmmaker, whose recent work, House of GA'A, has gained international acclaim by making it to Netflix’s Global Top 10 list for indigenous language films.

Other speakers include Dr. James Asare-Adjei, Founder and CEO of Asadtek Group Limited, Frank Edoho, an award-winning TV personality and entrepreneur, Toke Makinwa, a celebrated multimedia personality, and Princess Adeyinka Tekena, the visionary behind Nigeria’s premium coffee brand, Happy Coffee. These industry leaders will share their journeys and offer strategies for building sustainable businesses.

Alero Ladipo, UBA’s Group Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications, highlighted the value of the series, stating, "At UBA, our goal is to empower businesses to achieve long-term success. This series is a testament to that commitment, providing entrepreneurs with the opportunity to learn from those who have successfully built lasting enterprises."
