Fireboy DML, born Adedamola Adefolahan, has consistently tinctured his Afro-life sound with immersive stories. From the wide-eyed optimism of his debut album, “Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps”, to the contemplative mystery of “APOLLO” and the self-confident streak of “Playboy”, Fireboy has evolved while sharing his thoughts with a steadily growing audience. But “adedamola” is different, it’s personal, reflective, and deeply rooted in his past experiences.
The whole idea for the album began around 2023, a year that proved both tumultuous and transformative for Fireboy. He learned, lost friends, and embarked on a crazy ride. It was a year that reminded him he was a full-grown man living in the world. And so, “adedamola” became his canvas, a way to reconnect with his roots and explore what truly matters beyond success and achievements.
